Finally completed, though there may be upgraded versions in the future. The Chateau de Marqueur Royal Manor, a creation of my imagination is massive and as over 1500Li, but in open sim I'm told that's a drop in the bucket. Anyway, it has two large royal living chambers that you can decorate as you like, 12 guest or employee rooms each with their own fireplace, and there is ample space for kitchen, dining, library, and a social/ballroom. It has two massive dual sided marble fireplaces that are a little fancy, beautifully carpeted stairs and unique banisters. It also has a huge inground pool shrouded from prying eyes by lightweight curtains. I think you'll find this build enjoyable and fun and it's waiting for you in the Star Jinn Palisade Mall on the Masala Al Kohav region. It's free, and it's full perm. Thanks to my old friends, AND my new OS friends, for making last night so special. Due to lack of sleep, I almost canceled the Wednesday party at Avedon Park. I was just too tired to perform. I decided to give it a go and, one by one, some amazing people began walking through the door. The energy level went through the roof, and my sister Kat even jumped on stage with me and did a few guitar solos! I found myself dancing in real life, unable to sit down. By the end everyone was exhausted!

Arriving at the Rockabilly Station, walk the streets of a bygone era. Drop the kids at the local school. Join Pin Up girl dancing and putting on a show on the pedestrian crossing. Inside the main arches you will find rides, prizes, games and more. On the outer roads be sure to drop into the circus tents - which are full of circus delights. When you are all partied out call in to one of the homes from the 50's, put your feet up and enjoy cup cakes and tea. Be prepared for a long visit to see all that is to be found at the Back to the 50's at OMG

It's summer again in Georgetown. The army base is busy. Lots of stuff to do here. Work out in the gym, swim or dive in the pool. Have a meal in the mess hall. Drive around and check out the buildings. Transport section, the school and recruiting. The arena will be set up for roller skating soon! The map has been adjusted now so you will land in front of the gates instead of in the trenches. lol Come explore the base, and the rest of Georgetown. You won't be disappointed! 3rd Rock Grid slated for closure May 15 2024

I am very sad to announce what seems to be the inevitable closure of the historical 3RD Rock Grid in OpenSim. I say historical because it is notable as being the 3rd official OpenSim grid to open for business many,many years ago. I joined 3RD Rock in early 2011, shortly after it opening and have been calling it my virtual home away from home since then. Due to a recent series of cascading events our servers are inaccessible by our Adim team, below I will post a portion of my transcript copied during our last community meeting date March 23 2024.

[13:12] Eldovar Lamilton: As all of you have noticed of the past one and a half years, fate has hit us hard during the past time.
[13:13] Eldovar Lamilton: 1. It all started when we lost our system administrator from one day to the other without any further notice. We were left without access and documentation to the grid, and the person refused any further contact. To the day we have no idea why he reacted as he did, because from our perspective there was no reason at all to do so, our relationship seemed good, he received much more than the money he requested for the work he did.
[13:14] Eldovar Lamilton: It took us a long time to get access to the servers again. And the biggest problem that remained was, that he had rewritten (and improved) a few core parts of the Opensim software, but other than agreed, he never gave us the source code of those program parts.
[13:15] Eldovar Lamilton: 2. In October last year we lost one of our most important servers: the one that was running the Starfleet regions and many more important regions, we call it server 107. Kira Tiponi worked hard to get that server replaced and managed to restore all the regions that were there and finally, at the beginning of January this year, she succeeded. The plan was, that she shows nme everything she has done and gives me full access to the new server 107 at the beginning of February this year.
[13:16] Eldovar Lamilton: 3. In January, we got the sad message, that Kira has passed away. She did not have time to pass over all the information that she had and that was necessary to access the new server.
[13:16] Eldovar Lamilton: This was the final stroke to the grid as well.
[13:17] Eldovar Lamilton: Despite all our efforts, the situation now is, that we don't have access to all the servers - I still try to get access to the server housing company where the physical bare metal servers are running. Even with that, we do not have access to all our servers, those few that we have access to, we cannot manage because the system administrator that helped us move from the Florida servers to the new servers in Europe, has rewritten some crucial part of the software, and we don't have the source code to it (as mentioned above).
[13:18] Eldovar Lamilton: To summarize the situation: this grid is not manageable anymore.
[13:18] Eldovar Lamilton: As a consequence, we have decided heavy heartedly, to shut down 3RG.

I have noticed that in recent scripting the lsl compiler will frown on assignment of variables at the same time as declaration. Example: integer intNum = 5; Now the compiler seems to want a separate declaration and a separate assignment like this: integer intNum; intNum = 5; I have noticed this stops many scripts from working right. You can also no longer do this: for (integer i=0....) because the integer i is both defined and assigned in the same statement. Additionally I have noticed that you cannot simply say touch_start() anymore, but must say touch_start(integer p) and pass in the integer number of the detected touch. I am wondering if the assignment/declaration problem also applies to global variables? Is anyone aware of these changes? I know that touch_start() used to work, but now doesn't without the parameter passed by value.

I created the first practical in world midi player. By midi player meaning being able to convert midi files into notecards for in world scripts to play back on animated musical instruments.
