Principe(s) retenu(s) :
- passer obligatoirement par toutes les régions ou grilles engagées

Idées / suggestions / questions :

- Découvrir un code ? résoudre des énigmes permettrait d'obtenir un bout du code ; à la fin, celui qui détient l'ensemble du code obtient "quelque chose" mais quoi ? -> Lot(s) à définir (tenir compte qu'il peut y avoir plusieurs gagnants)
- Faire le parcours soit selon un ordre alphabétique des régions ? A priori, option non retenue puisque pour découvrir le code, ordre alphabétique pas forcément nécessaire, il faut obligatoirement être passé sur toutes les régions participant.

ARRIVEE
- Quel lieu d'arrivée ? Proposition : un lieu qui serait le résultat d'un travail collectif/collaboratif ? Cela impliquerait de Builder une région spécifique. Les échanges ne penchent pas pour cette option, plutôt utiliser une ou des régions existantes.

DEPART
- Quel lieu de départ ?
- Lister les informations à fournir au départ (conditions de réalisation, règles du jeu/règlement, etc.
- Soigner le départ en le rendant motivant, stimulant

ENIGMES
- Quelles énigmes ? Un parcours constitué d'étapes comportant des énigmes d'une difficulté croissante ?
- L'énigme devrait être en lien avec la région ou la grille visitée, elle doit également impliquer de visiter ou se déplacer dans la région.
- L'énigme ou les énigmes seront cachées dans un ou des "objets". Elles doivent permettre d'obtenir un bout de "code" / une "clé.

DIVERS / FONCTIONNEMENT
- "Objets" communs à toutes les grilles ?
- Un clic sur l' "objet" ouvre une notecard (comportant l'énigme, un bout d'histoire, l'étape suivante, etc.)
- Possibilité de faire intervenir un NPC (ex un ancien alchimiste) et/ou d'utiliser un panneau commun (texte ou "audio") qui serai(en)t présents à chaque étape.
- Il est important de prévoir d'indiquer au participant l'étape suivante.
- Chaque grille ou région participant à la chasse au trésor devrait être libre d'organiser ce que doit faire le participant mais en tenant compte d'un fil conducteur entre chaque étapes du jeu. Cela implique de tenir compte de l'étape précédente.

- Chasse au trésor ou jeu de piste entre grilles francophones mais ouvert(e) aux autres langues.

- Minord propose de s'inspirer de l'exercice du texte à plusieurs mains : chaque grille participant au jeu reçoit le texte de la région précédente et rédige sa partie en faisant évoluer l'histoire. La grille transmet l'ensemble à la suivante qui fera de même. Les régions ou grilles précédentes ne connaîtront pas la suite de l'histoire (et pourront donc également participer au jeu !)

Our next release to the Homelandz Public Library is a classic rather short novel that is a gripping and touching tale of 2 unlikely traveling companions, looking for work, and a piece of the American Dream. I highly recommend the modern movie remake of the black and white classic as well. The newer one features Gary Sinise as George, and John Malkovich as Lenny.

"George...tell me about da rabbits?"

Of Mice and Men is a 1937 novella written by American author John Steinbeck. It describes the experiences of George Milton and Lennie Small, two displaced migrant ranch workers, as they move from place to place in California, searching for jobs during the Great Depression.

Steinbeck based the novella on his own experiences as a teenager working alongside migrant farm workers in the 1910s, before the arrival of the Okies whom he would describe in his novel The Grapes of Wrath. The title is taken from Robert Burns' poem "To a Mouse": "The best laid schemes o' mice an' men / Gang aft agley" ("The best-laid plans of mice and men / Often go awry").

Although the book is taught in many schools, Of Mice and Men has been a frequent target of censorship and book bans for vulgarity and for what some consider offensive and racist language. Consequently, it appears on the American Library Association's list of the Most Challenged Books of the 21st Century.

The next addition to the Homelandz Public Library is the 3rd request from Remmy Ravenhurst...none other than Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo.

Les Misérables (/leɪ ˌmɪzəˈrɑːb(əl), -blə/,French: [le mizeʁabl] ) is a French epic historical novel by Victor Hugo, first published on 31 March 1862, that is considered one of the greatest novels of the 19th century. Les Misérables has been popularized through numerous adaptations for film, television, and the stage, including a musical.

In the English-speaking world, the novel is usually referred to by its original French title. However, several alternatives have been used, including The Miserables, The Wretched, The Miserable Ones, The Poor Ones, The Wretched Poor, The Victims, and The Dispossessed. Beginning in 1815 and culminating in the 1832 June Rebellion in Paris, the novel follows the lives and interactions of several characters, particularly the struggles of ex-convict Jean Valjean and his experience of redemption.

Examining the nature of law and grace, the novel elaborates upon the history of France, the architecture and urban design of Paris, politics, moral philosophy, antimonarchism, justice, religion, and the types and nature of romantic and familial love.

The next title to be released at Homelandz Public Library is a request from Ankh Senaton/Lionheart... a classic by HG Wells...The Time Machine! Find it upstairs on the bookshelf marked T for Time ;)

The Time Machine is an 1895 dystopian post-apocalyptic science fiction novella by H. G. Wells about a Victorian scientist known as the Time Traveller who travels to the year 802,701. The work is generally credited with the popularization of the concept of time travel by using a vehicle or device to travel purposely and selectively forward or backward through time. The term "time machine", coined by Wells, is now almost universally used to refer to such a vehicle or device.

Utilizing a frame story set in then-present Victorian England, Wells' text focuses on a recount of the otherwise anonymous Time Travelers journey into the far future. A work of future history and speculative evolution, The Time Machine is interpreted in modern times as a commentary on the increasing inequality and class divisions of Wells' era, which he projects as giving rise to two separate human species: the fair, childlike Eloi, and the savage, simian Morlocks, distant descendants of the contemporary upper and lower classes respectively. It is believed that Wells' depiction of the Eloi as a race living in plenitude and abandon was inspired by the utopic romance novel News from Nowhere (1890), though Wells' universe in the novel is notably more savage and brutal.

In his 1931 preface to the book, Wells wrote that The Time Machine seemed "a very undergraduate performance to its now mature writer, as he looks over it once more", though he states that "the writer feels no remorse for this youthful effort". However, critics have praised the novella's handling of its thematic concerns, with Marina Warner writing that the book was the most significant contribution to understanding fragments of desire[clarify] before Sigmund Freud's The Interpretation of Dreams, with the novel "[conveying] how close he felt to the melancholy seeker after a door that he once opened on to a luminous vision and could never find again".

The Time Machine has been adapted into two feature films of the same name, as well as two television versions and many comic book adaptations. It has also indirectly inspired many more works of fiction in many media productions.

For those who missed out on issue #1 from December of 1953, with Marilyn Monroe, here is issue #2, January 1954. (All issues will be found on the magazine rack upstairs...simply paste the hop into your map for a 2nd time, once you arrive at the region, and it will take you right to the correct bookcase.

These magazines can be rezzed in world to proudly display on your coffee table, bookshelf, whatever you wish. You can also simply "add" them and they attach as a HUD to your screen, and read in comfort, and only you will see!

I hope many will enjoy to see firsthand the evolution of an iconic magazine known worldwide for culture, class, style. I hope many will read the articles, jokes, and interviews. For instance, when we reach March of 1954, we find the first of 3 parts of Ray Bradbury's novel "Farenheit 451" Wow! It is truly like taking a step back into the 1950's, and seeing how things were!

Island of the Blue Dolphins is a 1960 children's novel by American author Scott O'Dell, which tells the story of a girl named Karana, who is stranded alone for years on an island off the California coast. It is based on the true story of Juana Maria, a Nicoleño Native American left alone for 18 years on San Nicolas Island during the nineteenth century.

Island of the Blue Dolphins won the Newbery Medal in 1961. It was adapted into a film of the same name in 1964.


^This is a beloved novel from my childhood, and it still tells such an incredible tale worth re-reading, well into adulthood. These books and novels are arranged alphabetically, and the waypoint takes you right to the correct shelf. You won't likely land right at that shelf. You will need to paste it into your map a 2nd time, after landing at the region. Common words like "the" are ignored. for example, i put The Holy Bible under B for Bible, making it the 2nd shelf on the back of the first floor. i for Island is at the end of that same row. in the menu, the item is named IslandBlueDo because menu popups limit to 12 characters. These should be full perm so you can rename to its full name later if you wish. any perms issues i will fix asap. been super slammed trying to get so much done both rl and online. Please enjoy this and remember reading is fundamental! ;)

Next up to our opensim public library is the #1 selling book on the planet...the Holy Bible! We hope you have use for this and can gain strength and inspiration. Bearing that in mind, i am aware there are a number of different faiths and beliefs out there. I am respectful of others beliefs, so keep in mind i will be deleting and maybe blocking anyone that tries to take a positive thing for a large group of people, and turn it into a heated debate, flaming, trolling. This is a peaceful freebie FOR THOSE WHO WANT IT. :) nobody is under obligation to come claim this free item, and thus, nobody should complain. Thank you in advance for being polite, rational and kind :)

A *BIG* shout out to Cyberglo Cyberstar, who has been so generous and kind with his time, adding 1 fix to take us to version 1.1 and allow pages to move backwards. Then the next day taking us to version 2.0 and allowing us the potential to make books in minutes rather than days and hours. and yet a 3rd update already to take us to script version 2.3!

New Features from 2.0 to 2.3:

Can now view the cover by clicking left side from page 1, to close the book/show cover. Adds a professionalism and another level of realism to the book experience. (also close book from menu)

Which leads us to the bigger features...a menu is added! holding down the left mouse ANYWHERE on the book for 5-10 seconds will give a popup menu:
1)page number 2)bookmarks 3)close book

We already mentioned 3 and self explanatory.
1- page number: push this to jump to any of the 1119 pages of this book
2- bookmarks: that's right, save your place, or simply remember some significant pages. you can name each page and you can create a bookmark using the menu, or you can edit the notecard (PATIENCE! it DOES take some computers a bit of time to load 1,119 images!)

Now keep in mind, you want to follow the examples already laid out in the notecard that is included. you can simply edit or erase this once you have the jist of how to name and format the notecard. (dont be silly like me and try to save a page as "John 3:16"....it needs the : to tell it what page to go to...so rather than take me to page 987 or what have you, it took me to page 16.

Yes, I am already aware some adjustments need to be made to the numbering system/script. For now, use it for what it is, and be grateful for the minutes to hours it will save you getting you relatively close to the page you wish to jump to or bookmark. We will obviously do our best to make this more accurate. ENJOY!

I searched high and low for the elemental guardians and could not find them so I guess they went the way of anything else captured in the machinations of Opensim. So I shopped and shopped and then I shopped again until I finally found just the right statues, took them home, tore them all apart, and created my own elemental guardians. Earth, Water, Air and Fire are ginormous angelic guardians of the elements and I created them for an Fantasy themed region that can be used for RP'rs if they like. These beautiful guardians are located in the "fantasy builds" department of the Masala Al Kohav mall. Stop by and get yours. Blessings and much Love, Lavia.

Now that i am back from my vacation and recovering from getting sick, I am working on a new project. When I was on the Cruise ship, I loved the spa so much I wanted to incorporate it into vb. The spa will be at Meditation Gardens. It will have some Saunas, therapy pools, ice room as well as massage rooms and the wellness pods will be moved into the spa as well.

The Agartha grid is currently closed for maintenance.
We are working on improving the system to ensure a smoother and more fluid experience. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Today I have some new plants for you. Lots of grasses, both field and clumps, sculpted and flexi. There are also some new flowers, including some wildflowers. These you will find in front of the shop on the end.
I also created a variety of lily pads, cattails, and other aquatic plants. Look for the big black box that says NEW floating above them. Thank you for having a look.
