Hi all, I was discussing OS with a friend from SL the other day and she had been trying to research online for a region to purchase/rent in OS but found the lack of information on websites a hindrance in her quest. So I thought I would ask here...
the criteria are a 1 x 1 region (adult land preferably), prims can be 10k-40k.It is not a huge issue. She wants to pay a maximum of $10USD per month and she would like to be able to sign up, register, pay via a website initially. Do any of you have recommendations from experience? Please suggest away.
Oh and one technical question. Do people need to have an account with the grid they are renting from. She saw one potential grid host that offered land on their grid and/or osgrid.

solved: I had to install a VPN

Hello, I have an issue with the grid and website.

Inworld : Nothing except blank prims rez on all regions, I tried with my different grids accounts such as osgrid, pangea, craft..
This happens since maybe 1 or 2 weeks ago.

So I thought about creating a local account but I can't reach alternatemetaverse.com, it gives me a time out error.

I tried on 2 different computers and on my phone, with several web browsers and different internet connections.

I am wondering if France is blocked or something?

Please help me, I can't live inworld without Jimmy's, Marpil's and Cataplexia's stuff 😅

I have a central system, two flags and two bases along with score board's. The flag is not carried but stays in place and goes alpha until returned. The issue I am having is the flag base sends a message to central but central is not sending a message to reset flag and award point. Any idea as to how to fix this. I can provide scripts if needed. Everything is communicating on the right channels. Looking for texturing help on a set of 3d models from Sketchfab. They convert and import perfectly and it looks like a great set. But I cannot get the textures to go on them in any kind of proper looking way. It's the first entry FNAF Plushies by a creator named AdamNeverStopsGaming. What am I looking for? Information about how friending works in Open Sim, and what techniques some of you use.
I am new to OS, but not to virtual life. I have noticed that if I friend someone who is a member of the same grid as me, they will remain in my friends list. If I friend someone who is a member of a different grid, it is likely they do not appear in my friends list.
So how do you get around this?
Do you have a workaround? I am assuming they must have evolved over time.
Or am I missing something simple?
Maybe people just friend those from their own grid? lol

Anyhow... all information, advice and thoughts on this subject most welcome.
And for the record... I do consult with my favourite Chatbots before asking questions in here, but whilst they were aware of the difficulties, they could not find satisfactory resolutions in the various forums etc that they searched.
