Die B-52’s, eine Band, deren Name sofort Bilder von hochgetürmten Frisuren und unkonventionellen Tanz-Rock-Hymnen heraufbeschwört, fanden ihren Ursprung im Jahr 1976 in der pulsierenden Musikszene von Athens, Georgia.
