Early announcement since this one may take some costume planning: On Friday September 11 at 12 pm grid time (that's 9 pm in Europe), we are doing a burlesque themed dance event in a skybox above Oasis, built for the occasion. Come wearing your best burlesque outfits or simply as you are to enjoy the music and the show. The stage has a dressing room so outfit changes during the event are entirely possible (make sure they are in your suitcase!)

Gosh, I hate to do this... Many of you want to hang on to your V6 viewer and never let go. Luckily we have an option still available.

After making some upgrades for the season and utilizing new features in the V7 viewer, I made an interesting discovery. Dismayland is no longer supporting snowglobe (singularity, coolvl) type viewers. Moreover, snowstorm (firestorm, alchemy) type viewers compiled against V6.15 or older are also incompatible. These types of viewers are unable to pass touches through objects with the 'ignore' flag applied to them.

This is a feature I have wanted since I started building! Now I can have a soup of dense fog with elements people can interact in. These things were impossible before FS v6.16.

The Season of Tribute has JUST BEGUN. The MAIN EVENT is coming towards the END of OCTOBER.

When it comes to details Fred and Deb's Virunga leaves nothing to the imagination. I come by to leave a note or gift for Deb in her mailbox at Rosamond Halsey Carr house. Rosamond Halsey Carr (1912-2006) had a flower ranch in Rwanda,. After the genocide of Hutus by Tutsi, when 8 people were killed in her gardens, she turned her flower sheds in the Imbabazi Orphanage. She was 84.

Since that time Roz and her staff have cared for more than 400 children. Since Roz's passing in 2006, the orphanage is under the direction of Partners in Conservation and currently cares for more than 100 orphans.

Roz also wrote the book "Land of a Thousand Hills: My Life in Rwanda," with her niece, Ann Howard Halsey, chronicling her love affair with one of the world's most beautiful and tormented regions. She is also the 2004 recipient of the Volvo for Life Award.

Maximillion Kleene

—usually known simply as Max Kleene—is a Canadian live musician who has been active as a resident in Second Life since September 13, 2006. His current Second Life profile links to his YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as his schedule and song list.
He is primarily described as an acoustic guitarist and singer with a relaxed, entertaining performance style. An older directory of Second Life live musicians lists him as being from the Niagara Falls region of Canada and cites rock, pop, and alternative rock as his genres.

And yes, humanity has actually had virtual guitarists playing for avatars in pixelated clubs for twenty years now. It is somewhat absurd. Yet, in a way, it is also quite beautiful. 🎸
