Our new Bungee Jump experience is now live at OpenSim Network, with a much more realistic motion system that gives you the feeling of a true elastic jump instead of a simple straight up-and-down ride.

Feel the fast drop, the hard recoil, the side-to-side swing, the body tilt, and the repeated bounces as the cord stretches and settles over the water.

This is part of our continuing work to make OpenSim Network more interactive, physical, and fun — with experiences built around movement, vehicles, games, and advanced scripted attractions.

For those not aware, OSFest is now a fully Hypergrid festival where you can host events on your own grid or grab some space on the OSFest grid to exhibit or setup a store. Before OSFest in September, OSGrid tends to run its fundraiser which is why we didn't choose dates in that month. Following OSFest, Hypergrid International Expo will be in November then OSCC likely in December. Fall is busy on the Hypergrid with many other events happening so hopefully some of those will join in the fun with remote events instead of schedule conflicts so we can send them some avatars too Let's celebrate each other together. A Small but Important Update on Textures

Ina Beaumont recently asked if I could include all of the textures with my items, not just the PBR materials, so that people who are not using a PBR-enabled viewer can still enjoy them properly.

I gave this some thought. I had been hoping that most everyone was moving toward PBR-enabled viewers, but Ina made a very good point—not everyone is there yet, and not everyone uses Firestorm.

So, going forward, I will include the complete set of textures that comes with the model, including the traditional textures as well as the PBR materials.

A quick note about texture sizes: please feel free to reduce them to whatever size works best for you. I have experimented with reducing them myself, but on many of the items I find that they become noticeably blurry, so the original size generally gives me the best results.

These are the textures produced with the model pack, and with the number of things I create, I simply don't have the time to resize and test every individual texture before release.

Please resize them as you wish and use whatever gives you the best balance between appearance and performance on your grid.

Thank you, Ina, for bringing this up. It was a good suggestion, and hopefully including everything will make my creations more accessible to everyone. ♥

This release adds server-side bake (Firestorm SSA). It is live now on my test sim.
Server-side bake includes:
• 2K textures
• Cached bakes and XBakes for standalone and Robust grids
• XBakes for HG visitors

It is live now in my sims.

Other highlights, implemented so far:
• Attachment scripts start on HG teleport
• Display names set from the viewer
• Display names carried on HG (OpenSim-Aura only)
• Concurrent asset transfer for copy, give folder, open object, and buy object
• Concurrent asset gather on HG teleport
• Online status kept through HG teleports
• Standalone groups in SQLite
• Standalone offline messages in SQLite
• FSAssests with SQLite

LINKUP OPENS WITH A BIG BANG!

Yesterday, LinkUp opened its doors on OpenSim in spectacular style, with up to 50 OpenSim residents joining us and helping make our grand opening an unforgettable morning!

The event got underway with DJ Whisper opening the celebration, setting the perfect mood and getting everyone onto the dancefloor with an amazing selection of music.

We were then treated to fantastic live performances from our two special guests, Ouienanda Proud2B Thai and Eva Fae, who took to the stage and entertained the crowd with their incredible performances.

DJ Ted also kept the music flowing and the party atmosphere alive, ensuring the dancefloor stayed packed and full of energy.

The dancefloor was full of moving bodies, laughter, dancing, and good vibes as everyone came together to celebrate the opening of LinkUp.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended, supported us, danced with us, and helped make our opening such a massive success!

Up to 50 residents, two incredible live performers, two fantastic DJs, and one rocking dancefloor!
