Dear friends,

Due to illness in my family, I’ll be stepping back for a little while. Mermaid’s Cove will remain open for your enjoyment, but The Golden Dreams Ballroom and The Blue Grotto will be closed for events for a few weeks.

✨ BK Mode – Gianni neu gedacht ✨

Klassisch war gestern langweilig. Heute trägt Gianni Stil mit Haltung – und zwar in vier Varianten, die zeigen, dass „klassisch“ auch richtig Spaß machen kann. Die Outfits spielen souverän mit Kontrasten: mal elegant mit einem Hauch Rebellion, mal urban mit einem Twist, mal edel mit einem Augenzwinkern.

Hier trifft zeitlose Silhouette auf mutige Details, cleane Linien auf selbstbewusste Akzente, und ein bisschen Extravaganz schadet nie – im Gegenteil, sie macht den Look erst richtig Gianni.

BK Mode beweist damit wieder einmal: Man muss nicht laut sein, um aufzufallen. Aber ein bisschen Funkeln, ein bisschen Attitüde und ein bisschen „Ich weiß genau, was ich tue“ schaden absolut nicht.

Kurz gesagt: Gianni bleibt klassisch – aber garantiert nie wieder langweilig.

The Paradise is done

Well, almost done. On the one hand, Vanaheim, with its free islands designed by the tenants, really is a paradise in the “2nd Sanctuary” grid. On the other hand, there’s still plenty of new things to come. And now we’re one step further along.
The first section of the walking trail is complete and ready to welcome visitors. Almost two kilometres of trail lead across seven islands, each with its own character. Every hiker should be able to find their favourite spot. Explore the trail. From east to west or vice versa. On foot, on horseback or by bike. Tired of walking? Then make use of the rest areas or relax on one of the many boats along the way. Or perhaps a longer break in one of the two beach houses? If a house is free, it’s yours for as long as you stay.

In the Welcome Region and at the landing point on the ship from Vanaheim, you’ll find teleporters (hiking map) to the trail’s starting points.

Nunja, beinahe fertig. Einerseits ist Vanaheim mit seinen von den Mietern gestalteten kostenlosen Inseln wirklich ein Paradis im '2nd Sanctuary' Grid. Andererseits soll noch viel neues entstehen. Und nun sind wir wieder einen Schritt weiter.
Der erste Abschnitt des Wanderwegs ist fertig und erwartet seine Besucher. Fast zwei Kilometer Weg führen über sieben Inseln, die jeweils ihren eigenen Charakter haben. Jeder Wanderer sollte seinen Lieblingsplatz finden können. Erforsche den Weg. Von Ost nach West oder umgekehrt. Zu Fuß, zu Pferd oder mit dem Rad. Müde vom Laufen? Dann nutze die Rastplätze oder erhole dich auf einem der vielen Boote am Wegrand. Oder eine längere Pause in einem der 2 Strandhäuser? Wenn ein Haus frei ist, dann gehört es dir solange du bleibst.

Auf der Welcome Region und dem Landepunkt auf dem Schiff von Vanaheim findest du Teleporter (Wanderkarte) zu den Startpunkten des Wanderweges.

The Zen Garden of Wishes


The garden unfolds like a quiet breath, a place where the world softens and the heart begins to listen. Bamboo sways in the background, cherry trees bloom with delicate color and the lanterns glow with a warm and welcoming spirit. In the heart of the garden stands the wish balloon, waiting with gentle patience. Visitors may touch it and release a wish, sending their hope into the universe with trust and lightness. It is a small act, yet it carries a sense of magic, a reminder that intention can travel far beyond the boundaries of the garden.

This place is also a sanctuary for love, a setting where couples can walk together, take photographs and capture moments filled with tenderness. The soft colors, the warm glow and the peaceful water create a natural frame for affection, making the garden an ideal place for memories shaped by connection and emotion.

There are lots of OpenSim users with top-of-the-line, state-of-the-art machines with a high-end Nvidia gaming graphics card running Windows 11 who complain about Firestorm 7 being terribly slow. In comparison with Firestorm 6 even.

I have hardware that was upper-mid-range in 2018 with AMD graphics running Debian GNU/Linux. I've got nothing to complain about how Firestorm 7 is performing. (Of course, literally nobody here will believe me.)

This either means that I've hit a sweet spot in combining hardware and software. And that the combination of a top-range Intel i9 CPU, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Ti and Windows 11 is actually objectively slower than the combination of an eight-year-old six-core AMD Ryzen CPU, and AMD Radeon RX 590 and Debian. At least when running Firestorm.

Or this means that everyone else considers a two-digit frame rate a slideshow whereas I've happily capped my frame rate at 30.

What I can comprehend even less is that single-threaded Firestorm 6 is supposed to be faster than multi-threaded Firestorm 7 on a CPU with 12, 16, 24 or more threads.

Ok in this one I did something super special to the terrain floater.
I added spinners for size of the yellow selection box and xy is the bottom left hand coordinate to place it. You can now do borders super easy with a box at 0,0 and the size being 1 wide and 1024 long...or you can make perfect square parcels in moments all the same exact size.....picture below.

I have since set them again to full perm. I do apologize to anyone who came to get them. It has been corrected.

Brands Hatch 2026: 100 Years of Racing – A century full of power, and we're celebrating it here on our authentic race track covering an area of ​​16 sims.

This year marks 100 years since the first wheels turned in anger at Brands Hatch.
Brands Hatch in Kent, England, began as a 1926 dirt track for motorcycles on farmland, evolving into a premier tarmac racing venue by 1950. Famous for the challenging Paddock Hill Bend, it hosted 12 British Grands Prix (1964–1986), iconic F1 moments, and today serves as a top venue for British Superbikes and Touring Cars under MotorSport Vision.

The 2.433 mi (3.916 km) "Grand Prix" layout we built inworld, this track has played host to several Formula One Grands Prix, including those with moments such as Jo Siffert's duel with Chris Amon in 1968 and 1992 World Driver's Champion Nigel Mansell's first win in 1985.

In the mythical world of Fantasia, the beauty between Nature and humankind is often intermingled in the form of dryads and tree elves, beings who embody the delicate harmony between root and soul. Dryads, bound to ancient trunks and whispering groves, carry an unmistakably human grace in their expressions and emotions, while tree elves move with the fluid stillness of wind through leaves. Together, they represent a living bridge between two worlds—one of soil and sap, the other of thought and longing. In their presence, the forest does not feel separate from humanity but rather like an extension of it, as though every heartbeat echoes the rhythm of rustling branches overhead.

This mingling of forms is most visible at twilight, when tree elves walk along moss-covered paths and dryads emerge from the bark of silver birches, their fingers brushing the hands of human wanderers without fear. In Fantasia, such encounters are not rare legends but quiet truths: humans who listen closely begin to understand the language of leaves, while dryads and tree elves learn compassion, curiosity, and hope from humankind. The result is a shared beauty—neither wholly wild nor wholly civilized—where laughter sounds like birdsong and wisdom grows as steadily as the trees themselves.
