What an awesome memorial day! TJ & I had smoked chicken, boston butt, and pork ribs, with potato salad, slaw, macaroni salad, texas toast, bbq baked beans, sweet tea and pecan pie. Tonight we played the board game clue which i picked up at walmart, along with some uno cards. Then I got busy in the kitchen and made a tiramisu cake, vanilla & chocolate petit fours, and white chocolate chip cookies. I sent TJ to the store for butter pecan icecream and we had a rare sweets supper while playing Clue (tm). Just all in all a fun memorial day!

A newly discovered supernova can be watched as it develops in real-time, online and for free.

This particular galaxy and supernova can be difficult to view in the night sky without the right conditions or telescope, however. Luckily, the Virtual Telescope Project will livestream the cosmic explosion on its website and YouTube channel as it develops via its power robotic telescopes based in Rome, Italy. What is a metaverse? I believe it is a virtual universe, where anything can happen! A place of magic and fun and joy. Just like the real universe the metaverse has many planets (grids) and thanks to the wonderful and amazing work of Sir Fred Beckheusen, the creator of dreamgrid, now anyone can have their own entire planet!
There are currently well over 7,000 planets (grids) in the metaverse! It is more populated than we realize. People from other countries with their own customs, languages, and beliefs have set up their own worlds, for others to explore.
I believe this trend will continue and people will spread out farther than ever before creating their own unique places and leaving an indelible mark of their existence upon the virtual cosmos! A complete decentralization of power and authority. No longer subject to the laws of the lindens and secondLife. No one place having authority over all the others. Everyone is free to explore thousands of worlds and make new friends.
With that said, you may also make a few enemies, but it doesn't matter, even if you get banned from an entire world, there are many thousands more out there... I have been exploring worlds of people I never knew existed, meeting new people, and making new friends.
The metaverse is a new frontier, a decentralized place created for us, and there is room enough in it for everyone, regardless of race, color, sex, sexual preferences, disabilities, and other separatist categories.

The colors of opensim are changing ! Still in beta-test, the new Linden viewer will incorporate a new color model. We don't know when and if it will be ported to Firestorm. But Opensimulator has yet implemented the LSL functions llLinear2sRGB and llsRGB2Linear. Fearless Atlasgrid's testers has dived in. Left colorchecker : old colors. Right : new colors.

Ok I have a question for the users who read these posts. This region is clothing for Athena rigged clothing and I was wondering how many of you would be interested in my also releasing the same designs for the Legacy body?? If there is enough intrest for the legacy outfits I will start getting the textures etc ready and do some legacy releases as well as the ongoing Athena releases.

Nautilus Cape Cod has reopened its Fish House Restaurant! Have a romantic Dinner or grab a lunch after sailing and exploring the Nautilus Ocean waters. The Restaurant is across from the Marina that has many free boats that work effortlessly on the Nautilus waters. The Restaurant has charming views of Cape Cod which has long term residents. There are free cottages to call home, the last one just became available and sits on its own private Island. ENJOY!

Lesson One:
A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A small rabbit
saw the crow & asked him, "Can I also sit like you & do nothing all day
long?" The crow answered: "Sure, why not." So, the rabbit sat on
the ground below the crow, and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared,
jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Management Lesson?
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high
up.

Lesson Two:
A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be able to get to
the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the
energy." "Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?" replied
the bull. "They're packed with nutrients." The turkey pecked at a lump of
dung, found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest
branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he
reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, he was
proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was promptly spotted by
a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.

Management Lesson?
Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.

Lesson Three:
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird
froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying
there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As the frozen bird lay
there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize how warm it was.
The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and
happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing
and came to investigate. Following the
sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung
and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Management Lesson?
1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.
2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.
3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep your mouth shut!

TO THOSE GRIDS THAT BLOCK US...

There are 7 of us, me who made the grid for the others, and 6 students, who rotate. We don't even change our avatar, we still have the same clothes, skin...

We like to go to the list of new regions to see what people have made new. If you don't want us to go, why advertise them on this site?

If you're afraid we'll rip you off, we dare you to find something on our grid that's not for sale. Even, when there is some special work, we post it and next to it we put a link to your grid (as in the case of Cherry Manga, Flora, Lani...).

We are not your competition in anything, we don't rent regions, we are not interested in users (although they are welcome if they prefer to be here).
As we said in another post, if someone wants something of what we do, ask us, we almost always forget to put it in copy or for sale).

In fact, the Welcome region, we have made it with links to this site and to places that we believe that anyone who comes to Opensim should know, because of their work.

On the other hand, we are disappointed with the people... it is sad, when they pass by you and even if you say hello, you do not receive the slightest sign of friendship. This is what hurts us the most (in our homes we are always forced since we were kids to say "hello" when you arrive and "goodbye" when you leave), indifference is punished with a "scolding".

We are so few and this is the relationship we are looking for... not even a "hello"... but a "don't come closer, I won't let you".

This sweet lady was Jackie, Softwhisper Littlewing who was a DJ I got to know in Second Life and she was amazing and so much fun. We lost Jackie in 2020 to cancer and she will be forever missed and loved. I designed this memorial to her as a DJ she so loved music and dance.
