The Holiday Spirit has gotten hold of me and so I have been touched, though those who know me will tell you I'm touched (in the head) LOL. Anyway I just love working with my programs to produce beautiful things and this Nativity Scene has turned out lovely and will be a stunning addition to any Christmas venue or you can shrink it down to sit on a mantle or under a tree, but it reminds us of the REAL reason for the season. You can find it in the Holidays & Season's section of our mall. The teleport pad is at the landing point and looks like a manhole cover. So once again, there I was, playing around in Meshy AI, and Blender and I finally figured out how to transfer the file with it's texture and get Blender to put it together then upload it with the textures included and POOF, a beautifully rendered, textured bust of my art work in the form of the Bust of King David. This sculpture along with the painting in the background and the Star of David wall or door décor, are available in The Plaza here at the mall. They are full perm and free for you. So I was mess'n around in Meshy and made this cute little mesh Star of David for the Rosh Hashana 5786 (2025 into 2026) New Year which is on September 22 this year. I want to thank everyone who participated in our little poll yesterday regarding adoption of PBR viewers. The tally as of today: 45% of the 29 respondents said they love it, 28% said they had tried it but had reverted back, and 14% said they had no interest in using one.

As I have shown before, the pic above shows the difference between PBR and full Blinn-Phong materials. Both are the best I was able to accomplish with each graphics engine. Both are part of all my builds now, so users can decide how they want to see them.

As many of you know, I've always been an early adopter and proponent of new viewer features, such as materials and eep, and used them in everything, regardless of how widely adopted the tech was among the user base. And as with pbr now, the primary early adopters are usually artists, designers, and creators, because we are are supported by a great group of patrons who enable us to keep doing what we love and push the limits of creation on this platform. So, if a user doesn't want to upgrade, we understand and we accommodate, but if they do, they're in for a treat :-)

Approaching alpha. As that point draws closer, my work starts on promotional graphics and the visual design of the game. I came to Opensim from SL years ago to have the opportunity to work on a larger canvas and push the boundaries. Now I will have the largest canvas imaginable and I'm excited.

The developer and I met several years ago here on Opensim and collaborated on several fun projects, becoming fast friends. We developed the expanded concept for Starlite here, hoping to create and streamline a fork of OS code to fit our vision, but that was not possible.
