"Hairpinning" Public Safety Annoucement and a small favor to ask of home Opensimulator server owners.

If you added a MAC address to a ban list, you may ban yourself, or ban all uses from any grid that uses a Loopback adapter for hairpinning. The problem is all Loopback adapters use the same MAC address. There is a different one for each type, such as WIndows, Mac and Linux.

Opensimulator servers require routers with working hairpinning so the server can find itself at the WAN's public IP. Loopback adapters are sometimes necessary at the server because not all home routers support hairpinning, a.k.a. Loopback. Only the the server can log in to itself, when the server has a loopback adapter. Others on thje same LAN can use a VPN, which moves the network endpoint outside the LAN, and onto the WAN.

Also, a lot of people think Loopback is needed for the Hypergrid. It's not. It only so the server can see itself at the external WAN IP.

I help maintain a list at http://opensimulator.org/wiki/NAT_Loopback_Routers of compatible and incompatible routers. Please, do us all a huge favor, and if your router for your home server is not listed, please comment the brand, model number and whether loopback works or not, and I will add it.

After almost 2 years in development (yeah i'm slow), I realize it could be another 2 years before the Chased region is ready. So i've decided to open up for testing. You are invited to come for some random surprises and fun. I'm not giving away much info here, you'll find out when you get there...

A damage enabled fae region full of surprises and pretty (and dangerous) things. Some basic skills like knowing how to run and jump, will keep you alive a little longer. Things are random, even I frequently die there!

My regions are hosted on my pc, and can run only a few avatars at once. If by chance the region has many visitors and you find lag, you might want to come back later when its quiet.

The Medieval area of Lunaria Emporium on Wolf Territories Grid is now completely redone. Originally, there wasn't much in the room pictured here, but now there are several new medieval furniture pieces that have been added to the decor.

Hello I am Pixie. I am a < new oldie > or < old newbie > in Opensim. 😁
I was owner of < Pixel 3D > before I left Opensim a few years ago.
I am very happy to be back and thank everyone for the warm welcome. 😘A lot has changed while I've been away. I have to find my way around again. 🤔

Unfortunately, I can no longer manage to set up my own store. But I am planning a photo exhibition on the subject of “Original and fake - what would an Opensim snapshot look like in real life?”

At the moment I have returned to Kitely as a homeless person. Unfortunately, it's not worth having my own region as I can only spend very little time in Opensim. 😢 But maybe I'll move back to OSGrid when their technical issues are fixed.

The Witches Hud - New Release - Fixes: For some reason the broom travelled backwards in opensimulator 0.9.2.2. I fixed this. Also the arcane meeting place was phantom even though it wasn't set to phantom. I fixed this too. Get yours here: login.friends-grid.com:8002:Textures Trees, & Scripts at the Wizardry store. :) NOTE: if you try too use arcane spell above 4000 it will kick you out. For some reason you must only cast [Arcane] between 1 and 3999 meters high. It's a limitation of opensimulator. *The huds are hidden at the Wizardry store behind a secret bookcase. :) PLEASE RESET THE SCRIPTS IN THE HUD AND THE ATTACHMENT SO THEY WORK. You may have to take the objects off and wear them a second time to imprint them with your id and start them working. Note: If you cast spells on your friend, please don't harass them. It only works on your land b/c you dont have rights on other peoples lands unless they allow it.

Hey folks, don't worry any more about outfits breaking. There is now a patch in core Opensimulator code to allow outfits to load correctly without reaking Links from IARs. For the ~ 17% of grids that do not use core 0.9.3.1, or use Linux instead, I posted a one liner SQL for grid owners to fix their broken links in outfits.

DreamGrid will have this patch this weekend and need do nothing except update to the latest 6.02 (Non PBR) or 7.02 (PBR) when I publish it. DreamGrid is about 83% of all known grids over the last six years. (~6x) and will automatically fix old as well as IAR uploads, even in V6 series which is Opensim 0.9.2 ( Non PBR )

Well, I couldn't really make a Douglas Fir and NOT decorate one for an old fashioned Christmas, Decorated with gold tinsel and red, white & green plaid bows, old fashioned decorated ornaments and multi colored lights with a big star at the top takes me back to my childhood days. It's free, it's full perm, it's yours to get at our Holidays & Seasons department. :) I am going to be tearing down the Magic Shoppe at Wizardry in the coming weeks. I wish to replace it with a forest, and an elven temple perhaps. So if you want any of the magical items there please get them now, also Savine has copies at her store which is where you will have to go to get the items. I just feel like the area would be better served as a more natural environment for a wizard. Without the old cluttered up shop on the hill.
