Don't usually do drama politics lol but i recieved more than the usual Hate Mail since posting here. 1. This is no Second Life 2. 70% of the items i see for sale in Second Life are free downloadable objects and clothes modified and then resold for quite alot of money (i do game graphics in RL) 3. OS Grid came to us as a free open source and is especially valuable to those who are handicapped and on low incomes who can never never never afford SL to create their dreams 4. No other grid would be around if not for the FREE tech service from OS grid staff and developers 5. If you tweeked your copy of OS Grid sofware for YOUR GRID and it runs better GREAT that is what we want! YOUR HAPPINESS 6. I want to clarify something there is someone going around spreading rumors about Club Equinox closing down~! Let me set the record straight! Club Equinox was started 3 years ago on the Kinky Grid by me and my Sister Chynna those that been to the old Equinox know her! There were not that many clubs around then and alot of them that were are gone today. We work hard to make Equinox a drama free no issues place to come party and anyone who ever came knows that we are a fun place to party! Xaria is and has always been a great partner in the club, We have seen a decline in people coming but we will be here for a very long time in the future we have many plans and improvements ! Been happy with my weather system so I created one specially for my sims at EUROPA: no API called just simple script. it gives temperature in C, F and K (kelvin).. from inside and outside dome. Fits very well the thematic here! Thinking about releasing a copy at MAGABAGA MALL. unsure if someone would be interested though.

I have made a bunch of cute Halloween decorations. They are all at the end of the shop near the water—free, Full Perm, and NOT prefect. :) I also made a couple of dragons, a red one and a white one that glistens in the sunlight. Can you find them? Lots of new things are coming soon!

Offworld has existed for a total of 18 years now. It was first called "Land of Vikings," then became "Gridworld," and finally "Offworld."
We're marking this occasion and celebrating this milestone with a small event.
On Friday, August 8, 2025, from (CET) 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Genie will be giving his best on the microphone. Starting at 9 p.m., the fantastic Phaandor Pertwee will take over the stream.

Offworld existiert nun insgesammt 18 Jahre, zuerst hiess es "Land of Vikings", dann wurde es zu "Gridworld" und schlussendlich dann "Offworld".

Through life, there are people and events that take and hold a piece of our soul - sometimes the better, sometimes for the worst. Sometimes the trigger are small, apparently insignificant things.
A piece of mine was taken 9 years ago when I saw the above screenshots in the news. I sobbed for day, as I still do today. I grieved for people I had never met, as I still do today.

This is a picture of the replica of the home I grew up in here in Pennsylvania. We had a huge farm house to live in and lots of freedom to roam wherever we liked. "Hairpinning" Public Safety Annoucement and a small favor to ask of home Opensimulator server owners.

If you added a MAC address to a ban list, you may ban yourself, or ban all uses from any grid that uses a Loopback adapter for hairpinning. The problem is all Loopback adapters use the same MAC address. There is a different one for each type, such as WIndows, Mac and Linux.

Opensimulator servers require routers with working hairpinning so the server can find itself at the WAN's public IP. Loopback adapters are sometimes necessary at the server because not all home routers support hairpinning, a.k.a. Loopback. Only the the server can log in to itself, when the server has a loopback adapter. Others on thje same LAN can use a VPN, which moves the network endpoint outside the LAN, and onto the WAN.

Also, a lot of people think Loopback is needed for the Hypergrid. It's not. It only so the server can see itself at the external WAN IP.

I help maintain a list at http://opensimulator.org/wiki/NAT_Loopback_Routers of compatible and incompatible routers. Please, do us all a huge favor, and if your router for your home server is not listed, please comment the brand, model number and whether loopback works or not, and I will add it.

When discussing SL romances, back in the day, it was common to hear people say that an in-world relationship of one year was the equivalent of 4 or 5 RL years. Now, if you own a dog, you might have heard that one dog year is equal to seven human years. It's more complicated than that. The chart has it all sorted out. Have a look, and tell us, if we thought of AV years as dog years, how old is your oldest OS AV in human years?

As for me, my oldest OS AV was in OSG, and had existed for 15 years. If that OSG AV were a dog, it would have been between 76 and 93 years old in human years now. (Lord, it was way ready to die. And I think, now, it is).

I decided to migrate my regions from OSGrid to my own private grid so I do not depend of anyone, took me some hours to set up the configuration with the HyperGrid but I did finally. I really appreciate to the OSGrid team all the effort on all these past years, when I connected my project on their grid back in 2019 allowed me to show my project which I started back in 2011, but after a long time thinking about it and learning more about how it works the Hypergrid and to setup it, I was able finally to do it and perfom the test from the outside (with a account I created on other grid), I'll connect some of my the others regions in several hours (the speedway), and I'll balance better the load of all the regions in several servers over the time since it also runs now the ROBUST. Still need to work on the backups tasks, uptimes checkers. The construction of the city, is still ongoing, and I do it when I have free time, motivation and I'm inspired (since I want to do the buildings and all in a good way, I mean, not all the same, all differents with unique things even some share the same initial design), and also the city is not only on the surfarce, I build also under what can be seen on the map. Initially I wanted to do this way, but since I didn't know nothing about Hypergrid and how to setup back in 2019, never tried, until these last days when I started to see how to configure it.

Last night someone was on my sim for 4 min and wrote a review:
"The lag dragged me out of this sim and I´m on a high end computer. Less would be more in this case or change the server!"
When I came online this morning and looked at my traffic board I was looking what could be the reason. That it is so laggy that it dragged him from my sim must be a reason different from his computer, if it is really high end computer.
I am the whole day on my sim with a MacBook Air. Not really high end for opensim. I have to emulate an Intel processor and emulate OpenGL because MacOS is not supporting openGL since 13 years or so anymore. I have even on normal 1x1 sims with an Island and house on it never more than 30 fps framerate. So I think my computer is for this game on low end but can even take videos of Big City Life as you can see in more than 50 videos on my rumble page.
So there must be a reason for it that he was even dragged with his super high end computer (if this is true and this review was honest meant)
I have a suspect. I have also an OSgrid avi but don't hypergrid with it anymore. I just park it on Lbsa. But for my MacBook Air it seems much more difficult to hypergrid with my OSgrid Avi than with my main Avi or my Avi of Wolf territories I use now often for hypergridding while I park my main avi at home.
But on the other side I see on my board that someone with his OSgrid avi was 23 min on my sim. So he must have been no problems. Usually my visitors stay 1-4 min or half hour to an hour on my sim. The first ones that just stay on my sim for few min have usually just an older Laptop or so and see very fast that their framerate is very low. So this is normal. My Big City Life is a 7x7 sim heavy loaded with thousands of scripts running. It is normal that user will go immediately when they find out that they can't walk straight on my sim. I always said that I built this sim the limit of what opensim as technology is capable of so that I can even live on the sim with my MacBook Air. And this is not a gamer computer.
But I suspect there is another reason. A resident on my sim has a new gamer Laptop (5300 Euro) and tried out with different Avis from different grids how performance is. Usually she has always 60 fps with one avi. She tried out also with 2 and 3 Avis at the same time. The interesting point is that she had with her decadence avi and her wolf territories avi 34 fps and with her osgrid avi 21 fps at the same time while staying with 3 avis on Big City Life. So her Osgrid Avi had lower framerate although it should have been same as the other while view of all 3 avis should are same/similar.
I get mostly visitors from many different grids. Perhaps when you come to my sim you should try out with avis from different grids. Perhaps there is now some technical problem with OSgrid that hypergridding is more difficult.
Just my thoughts about this case for a reason.
