It's that time of the year again when OSFest is nearly ready to open the doors of a new grid to exhibitors, merchants, and sponsors to start placing their creations before the official opening on September 15th. I know I've been working on my new exhibit since mid July.

OSFest (OpensimFest) is a big event with tons of exhibits from multiple grids, including individual exhibitors, merchants, and artists, as well as educators and grid owners. Each year they create a grid just for the festival with multiple regions and tons of performers that lasts 2 weeks. At the end they have a large celebration just before the entire grid is taken down until the next year.

In reference to my post yesterday..
A professor gave a balloon to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway. The professor then mixed all the balloons. The students were given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon. At that point the professor told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it. Within 5 minutes everyone had their own balloon.
The professor said to the students: “These balloons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness....we'll find ours too. This is the same as "community building" if we all help and support each other.. we would be much happier.. just something to think about.. as a side note.. I love teachers who teach like this!

I wanted to share something that might help some of you. I was recently very sick. I called around several doctors offices trying to get in with a super bad case of the flu. They all were booked up! So I decided to try a different approach. I went online and there i found webdoctors.com. I called them which costed $59, and they called in flu antivirals to my local walmart, which costed another $34.00. I am feeling much better. You can contact them either over video, or over the phone. For those too sick to leave the house, this is a great option. I just want to help you all. There may be other web doctors on the web you can try. But my wait time with this one was 8 minutes, and the phone rang. incredible!

It allows you to store your visitor list without storing sensitive data like ip addresses, but not having to rely on inworld objects - which often get reset. This project allows you to sort by visitors to a specific region, or a grid, or sort visitors by day, week or month. It relies on a free website for the free api call to process the data. Etwas über ein Jahr ist es nun her, dass wir bei uns in Dorenas World ein Event zum Thema Flüchtlinge in Mittelmeer veranstaltet haben. Titel: Seenotrettung ist kein Verbrechen
In der Zwischenzeit ist viel geschehen, aber es hat sich wenig verändert - und wenn dann kaum zum Besseren. Wir hören von Booten in Seenot die von der Marine nicht nur nicht gerettet, sondern auf's offene Meer hinausgedrängt werden - ein Verbrechen, dass jeder Menschlichkeit Hohn spricht. Und die, die es bis auf die griechische Insel Lesbos geschafft haben, hat man mit unzureichender Versorgung zu Tausenden in ein völlig überfülltes Lager buchstäblich eingepfercht. Es war keine Überraschung, was wir jetzt an schrecklichen Bildern zu sehen bekommen:

Es war eine Katastrophe mit Ansage - und das Elend ist noch nicht am Ende. Schon ist man dabei das Problem zu "lösen", indem man die Menschen in ein neues Lager einzusperren versucht.

Wir denken es ist höchste Zeit für ein neues Event und haben die Woche vom 21.-27.9. dafür ausgewählt, denn es ist keine Zeit zu verlieren.

Wer mit Aktivitäten oder Ideen Idea zu diesem Event beitragen möchte, wird gebeten sich kurzfristig mit mir oder Anachron in Verbindung zu setzen.

It's been a little over a year since we hosted an event on the topic of refugees in the Mediterranean at Dorenas World. Title: Rescue at sea is not a crime
Much has happened in the meantime, but little has changed - and if so, hardly for the better. We hear of boats in distress that are not only not rescued by the navy, but are pushed out to sea - a crime that scorns all humanity. And those who made it to the Greek island of Lesbos were literally cooped up by the thousands into a completely overcrowded camp with insufficient supplies. It was no surprise what horrible pictures we now see:

It was a catastrophe with an announcement - and the misery is not over yet. You are already in the process of "solving" the problem by trying to lock people up in a new camp.

We think it is high time for a new event and we have the week of September 21-27. selected for this because there is no time to waste.

Anyone who would like to contribute to this event with activities or ideas is asked to contact me or Anachron at short notice.

Now at 221 PBR materials. Today's dump includes building facades for day and night use with the emissions layer. You can change the light colors base upon the tint color and the intensity with the glow adjustment. So much more to bring in, but running out of room at the shop! What is your favorite PBR material so far? Mine are the melted wax and the dunes in today's drop.

Okay, you win! After being asked about Athena Petite clothes so often, I've made them available again. However, there will still only be very, very few new items, as it's becoming increasingly difficult to find Athena Petite clothes. But as soon as I see something, I'll get it ;-)

I was just pondering Christmas, i was wondering if any one on any grid is thinking of an xmas event? Bringing all grids together.
Perhaps a place where everyone could have a booth?
where any one is free to join in. A amazing event for everyone to join?
Maybe a certain grid hosting this years and then pass the torch to another grid next year?
there are some amazing people in opensim, this would be a place to showcase everyones places, get out there, promote and give out landmarks ect. even if it just ran for a few days. somewhere where everyone could mingle. idk..lemme know your thoughts or if you wanna host ect? hugs guys and gals

Hi, here's a litter box i made. two versions - one you can rez and sit on works better with AO etc. but the other is portable you can wear it and when you sit on the ground it appears. (hint: look for the "sit on ground" toolbar icon for the bottom of Firestorm)

AO should be off for the weable, but doesn't have to be, depends on your AO sit position. The portable is good for emergencies when you're out at the club they don't have a litter box nearby. .
