A newly discovered supernova can be watched as it develops in real-time, online and for free.

This particular galaxy and supernova can be difficult to view in the night sky without the right conditions or telescope, however. Luckily, the Virtual Telescope Project will livestream the cosmic explosion on its website and YouTube channel as it develops via its power robotic telescopes based in Rome, Italy. The online event will kick off at 6:30 p.m. EDT (2230 GMT) on Friday, May 26 2023. What to do if you missed out on vivox voice? Well. There is a free program for windows/linux/mac called mumble. It has 2 parts. a program that you run as a small server, and a program that you run as a client. Mumble currently supports over 30 games, including such games as call of duty with an overlay plugin. An overlay plugin is not yet developed for opensimulator, however... BUT you don't have to do all that. You can just run the mumble server, then you and your friends can download the mumble client on their mac, linux box, or windows pc, and they can easily connect to your mumble server. Once everyone is on your mumble server they can type chat to each other, or talk voice to each other over their microphone. The game overlay part just adds additional features to the game, so that it appears your voice is coming from a specific location, rather than being ubiquitous. Ok I have a question for the users who read these posts. This region is clothing for Athena rigged clothing and I was wondering how many of you would be interested in my also releasing the same designs for the Legacy body?? If there is enough intrest for the legacy outfits I will start getting the textures etc ready and do some legacy releases as well as the ongoing Athena releases.

Presenting the OVERWATCH SENTRY. What does it do? Well, you can enter a list of grids to ban, people to ban by name, ip, or key. It also monitors each person that comes into your sim, and if they are wearing too many scripts to try and crash your sim, it bans them. If they are using too much sim memory and eating up all system resources, it bans them. If they are flying and you turn off flying in the system, it bans them. If they are too tall or too short, it bans them. So it does a lot, and it's all settable by you. I didn't do ban by age because avatar age is unreliable and can return a 0 day age. The device is by the christmas tree at cyberdatastorm.com:8002/wizardry. It's a different kind of device from a security system. Security systems ban everyone except those you allow in. This lets everybody in - but it checks them to make sure they are not hacking or trying to hurt your sim, but it can also ban people from a list. It's really simple to use, just add the name to the appropriate list in the objects inventory, then just click to turn it on. Only the owner can turn it on or off.

Amoa Nude Beach has been re-opened.

No one was banned, but due to all the issues and repercussions related to emotionally disturbed idiots griefing regions and grids over the past couple of weeks, changes made across grids caused issues with performance at Amoa Nude Beach.

To slow the influx of so many IM's letting me know the beach was a lag monster crawling at a massively slow pace, I shut the region down until it was resolved.

All group members were sent a notice regarding the issue, however if the half that would actually read it, may have never received it.

Again, our apologies for the inconvenience and much thanks to grid owners Huga and Gabe of Barefoot-Dreamers grid as well as Fred Buckenhausen for his assistance as well in improving the performance and helping restore the best and only nude beach on the hypergrid.

I've been a busy foxy =^_^=

I've brought a total of 6 regions online, each on their own vserver. This should eliminate the db corruption issues I had the previous time around. I haven't fully tested how many avatars can be on the regions at once but Me, Jeeper and an alt were standing around typing without issue. Also for some reason Panda Valley's maptile hasn't updated but it's ok I think.

I'm very much wanting to get an active community off the ground here for those that lay claim to the Furry Fandom(Fur,Neko,Therian,Otherkin,etc..) and will let folks park a 4096m2 parcel anywhere outside of Dragon Valley. The parcel will have unlimited prims so you can build a dream house there if you'd like. Only two rules: Be from the fandom and be active.

Dragon Valley's the landing point/clubhouse/etc.. and i'd like to keep it unchanged.

I'm also in requesting of a terraformer as my land skills suck XD

Info for all jealous and knowledgeable who claim my grid and 162 sim are slow. (user01) I did a test with an old pentium 4 Intl core 2 quad 3.2GHz, 8GB memory card 6 years out of life no more driver, "1GBite" internet. I'm going to my sim house market 60000 prim hard test. No difference to my PC i7 core 8, 4.3GHz, 32GB memory new Graficcard Gigabite. All work fine and stable fast. :-D
If my grid is slow for you, it may be time to think about the 50MBite internet and your old PC. That could be helpful. ;-)

⛵ CA Sailing Race – Chaos on the High Seas of Neverworld! 🏴‍☠️

Every once in a while, we gather our bravest (and occasionally most reckless) captains for a sailing race in the Neverworld Grid!

Our beautiful 4x4 VAR provides the perfect playground for some serious sailing, questionable navigation, and the occasional act of piracy. The racecourse is shown on the map, although following it correctly is apparently optional.

Last Friday, four fearless captains entered the competition:

Miss Eva Nowicka – Fast, fearless, and apparently equipped with a secret turbo engine.

Navy Commander Ballyrae Hanley – A distinguished officer of the Navy, whose navigation instruments seem to have a mind of their own.

Rabit Pink Pirate Snoots Dwagon – A pirate who firmly believes that cannon fire is a perfectly acceptable racing strategy.

Smuggler Miss Trouble Ahead – An innocent, law-abiding smuggler who just wanted a peaceful afternoon at sea. Naturally.

🏁 Race One – Speed, Cannonballs and Suspicious Tactics

Miss Eva Nowicka took the lead and sailed to victory at an incredible speed. We are still investigating whether she secretly installed a jet engine below deck.

Second place went to Snoots Dwagon, who spent a considerable part of the race enthusiastically shooting at Miss Trouble's stern. After receiving enough cannonballs to supply a small naval war, Trouble's ship lost speed, allowing the sneaky pirate to overtake her just before the finish line.

Commander Ballyrae also demonstrated impressive speed, but unfortunately finished last due to what the official Navy report describes as "technical difficulties with the navigation instruments."

The rest of us call it getting lost.

💥 Race Two – Collisions, Cursing and a Heroic Sinking

The second race started with a bang. Quite literally.

Shortly after the start, Miss Eva and Snoots Dwagon managed to collide, proving once again that two excellent sailors do not necessarily make one excellent traffic situation.

While the two captains were busy shouting, shaking their fists, and exchanging what we assume were traditional nautical compliments, Commander Ballyrae and Miss Trouble seized their opportunity.

With remarkable speed and, for once, no major navigational disasters, Miss Trouble and Commander Ballyrea crossed the finish line first!

Miss Eva eventually arrived in third place, probably still muttering something about pirates and the rules of the sea.

As for Captain Snoots Dwagon...

Well, he decided to take a closer look at the local reefs. Unfortunately, he took his entire ship with him.

He sank heroically, spectacularly, and completely unnecessarily.

We salute his bravery. His navigation skills, however, remain under investigation.

What a glorious afternoon of racing, cannon fire, collisions, shouting, and questionable seamanship!

Nobody was seriously injured, several egos suffered considerable damage, and at least one ship is now providing accommodation for the local fish.
