Priscilla paid me a visit. She couldn't do anything to my sim... at all... But I hit her with a bolt of lightning seen here in this video, also with an elven attack, and orbiters (lol), followers, and a clouder. heheheh Double click the picture for a bigger view of priscilla hanging helplessly in the air, being jerked around by magic. hahahaha. She finally got mad and ran off... :)

Is it me or has OSgrid been having some database issues lately? Sometimes when I change outfits it takes longer to rez stuff, or parts don't rez at all, forcing me to log out and back in to fully wear outfits.

Also I've had some issues with my heads and bodies showing up as white blobs. In those cases I'm forced to unpack another copy and rework my heads and bodies to point to the new copy.

I've no such issues with my Kitely account. May end up using that more often vs OSgrid.

ETA: This is one example from my OSgrid account. I have a few other outfits that look worse as far as rezzing that haven't been fixed yet. Right now I have 144 outfits for my account in OSgrid; many of them are just slight tweaks to a main outfit.

It's really not that hard to be ranked #4 on OpenSim when you plant 8 avatars in your region and just keep them there. I really think that is being very deceitful and skewing the OpenSim numbers to raise yourself in the rank. Regions that have been found to have avatars that are just put there 24/7 should have the region deleted and it should not be allowed. Not only is this grid owner stealing people's regions but now they are lying about who is actually occupying their region to raise themselves in the ranks. Awful!

Little hacker bastard. Look how big the story is. You can hack as much as you want. It doesn't change the story. You are only momentary and nothing you do as a hacker makes you bigger. You are nothing, you have nothing, you will not have been in the end. How pathetic and pitiful. You think what you do is important and right. But you are alone, frustrated, and your hacking successes are those pathetic self-affirmations that don't really satisfy you. You want a world where you are respected. But you are not able to find your way in this world. Not able to approach people and see and accept the positive. To be or not to be, that is the question. In the end it was light or nothing. It's up to you. The negative cannot win. The + always flows to the - and no hacker turns it around. Hackers are mostly children of drug parents or rich people who are socially unfit. Reposting this as it is an important fix any grid can and should run. There is a patch in core Opensimulator code as of 2/15 to allow outfits to load correctly without breaking links. This has been a bug forever, and was caused by loading IARs. For the those grids that do not use core's latest 0.9.3.1 dev (PBR), I have SQL for grid owners to fix their broken links in outfits. DreamGrid has this patch for future uploads, and also will run this SQL to repair all old outfits. You need do nothing except update to the latest DreamGrid 6.02 (Non PBR) or 7.02 (PBR). DreamGrid will automatically fix old as well as IAR uploads, even in V6 series which is Opensim 0.9.2 ( Non PBR )

Mysql SQL code is this:
use robust; //with whatever your database is. For standalones it may be 'opensim' as there is no robust.
show databases; // will show you which databases you have and their names.

This fixes all old links. You need the patched Opensim to fix future links, OR you can run this again after loading an IAR. You do not have to do this, links can be fixed in the viewer but it's a tad tedious.

Grids will need to compile dev master from Feb 15 or later to make this automatic fix when loading of IARS. If you can't do that, just run this SQL after any IAR load.

I was owner of < Pixel 3D > before I left Opensim a few years ago.
I am very happy to be back and thank everyone for the warm welcome. 😘A lot has changed while I've been away. I have to find my way around again. 🤔

Unfortunately, I can no longer manage to set up my own store. But I am planning a photo exhibition on the subject of “Original and fake - what would an Opensim snapshot look like in real life?”

At the moment I have returned to Kitely as a homeless person. Unfortunately, it's not worth having my own region as I can only spend very little time in Opensim. 😢 But maybe I'll move back to OSGrid when their technical issues are fixed.

SOMETIMES PEOPLE LIKE TO LIVE ON THE EDGE INCUDING ME, I LOVE DG. SOMETIMES WHEN YOU LIVE ON THE EDGE AND UPDATE DG WITH BETAS YOU RUN INTO ISSUES. THE GRID HAD LOADING ISSUES ALONG WITH LOADING OAR ONTO THIS REGION.

IT TURNS OUT THE ISSUE WITH GETTING THE REGION BACK WAS A CORRUPTED OAR. I HAVE ROLLED BACK TO A STABLE VERSION AND HOPEFULLY WILL NOW BE ABLE TO DO SYSTEM WIDE BACKUPS AND SHOULD HAVE NO MORE LOADING REGION ISSUES.

what do you think is the "standard" height for an avatar? I've noticed that in SL the basic avatars, the ones they give you when you first register, are about 1.75 meters tall or a little taller or a little shorter.

Even the Shapes of the various body and head creators provide shapes of about 1.90 maximum if I remember correctly.

Many users raise their avatars even beyond 2 meters in height reaching even up to 2.40 meters which is really a lot.

Tall avatars, always look slimmer and more defined, but they are often "bulky," not properly seated for example on a chair because they pierce the coffee table for example, or even in vehicles a foot comes out of the helicopter another example.

so what is the average and correct height for a vatar, regardless of what you may like personally, because then rightly everyone makes the shape as they prefer, but the standard heights the ones that should be corect, in your opinion what are they?

We have developed a tool that can bulk create and load regions from oar files by the customer filling in a simple spreadsheet if anyone needs assistance. We moved 87 regions to Wolf Grid yesterday. Our assets are stored in Object Storage which is spread across multiple servers and locations. We maintain 2 live backups of the assets at any time. If it gets low on space we just buy more space.

We are offering free migration for the next month.

As the larger grids come back online, there is only one way to see what assets are missing from your inventory. Go to the region terminal and type fcache clear for each region, then reboot. When the regions reload, you will be able to visually see what is missing from your inventory. This is the only true way to know what assets are gone from your inventory now.
